Here is a list of the major components we use in manufacturing. Unlike our COINED solid sheet brass manufacturing process, other frames you'll find on the Internet are CAST brass, made in Asia somewhere. Cast products are not clones, they vary in size, form, and finish, and don't have tabs on the back bottom to secure them to the license plate. (Either do billet aluminum frames.) Just because it says brass doesn't mean it will look good for long. Our frames are made of solid sheet brass. We don't offer them in their natural brass finish. Polished natural brass corrodes and turns dark ugly brown in a very short time. It only takes a few days in some areas of the country. (Polished aluminum has a similar problem.) We use solid brass sheets as a base material. The reason: brass sheet is not porous, polishes well and doesn't rust. The finer the polish -- the finer the chrome or gold plating will be. We electro-plate nickel over the polished brass before adding chrome or gold as that protects the brass and enhances the luster. These frames will last! They never rust or corrode. They'll look good for years. Our license plate frames are Made in the USA completely in one plant. By performing every step of the manufacturing process in one plant, we can sell a better frame at or below what you'll pay for a cheap foreign made product. Our engraved license plate frames are not scratch engraved. They are deep computer controlled engravings that are cut before the electro-plating is applied. Finally they are hand filled with our special formula epoxy that won't 'pop' out
